As RyanPrints calendar year comes to a close, we wanted to reflect on some of the lessons we learned as a business.
This was the first year that we had our doors open to the public. Even though we have been in our building for almost 2 years, we have only been "open" for 6 months. One of the biggest obstacles was learning how to juggle foot traffic and online traffic when both are equally heavy. We found ourselves falling behind. That's when we gained help. Having a team of people who believe in your vision and work hard like its theirs has been the greatest reward.
Sometimes as a business, we want to do everything. We want to wear all the hats. However, how can we truly scale to be like the bigger cooperation's if we can't do something as simple as getting our product out in 7 business days. That's where helping hands come into play. Just by having someone answering inquires, it frees up a little room in your day to focus on making the product to get it out in a timely manner.
This leads to you not feeling so stressed and customers satisfied with your service. They tell their friends and then before you know it you won't have to do anything but ensure checks are being delivered.
So hear me when I say, hire that help. Even if its a part timer or a virtual assistant, its time to scale that business.
