With 2020 bringing a contactless world and life as we know it being completely altered, what does the future hold for a business card?
First, we must ask what is a business card? Business cards are cards that have business information about a company or individual. They typically include the givers name, company and contact information such as email or phone number. They are additionally printed on a cardstock material which ranges in size and in finishes.
One of the questions I hear all the time is "do I really need a physical business card" I can just do this digital card. Well it boils down to your "ideal client"
Most people feel that when they hand someone a business card it ends up in the trash. That could very well be true. However, if they are like me, they keep that business card. That business card ends up in a basket, on my refrigerator or in my wallet. Even if I may not need the services at the time, someone I know may. I can also say that most "older" people or people who aren't so "tech" savvy prefer the traditional business card.
Now, this is not to defer you from having a digital card. In my opinion, you can have both. Not only will you cater to the modern generation but you cater to the traditionalist as well.
Physical business cards have been around since the 15th century and I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon.
